Dr Stuart Connop is a Professor in Sustainability. Stuart's research specialises in the design, delivery and monitoring of nature-based solutions with a particular focus on multifunctional benefits for people and nature. Stuart has an active involvement in invertebrate ecology including habitat assessment, design, monitoring and management.
As Director of the SRI, Stuart leads a multidisciplinary team of senior, mid-career, and early-career researchers across three key themes: blue/green infrastructure, sustainable materials, and sustainable society.
Areas Of Interest
A broad range of interests associated with the sustainable management of our urban and rural landscapes. This includes research and consultancy on green and blue infrastructure, including nature-based solutions. Research has focused on innovative design, delivery and legacy of ground-level and roof level greenspace.
