I joined University of East London as a Lecturer in Railway Engineering. I have extensive international research experience of working in collaborative research projects working closely with industrial partners. I am a chartered member of IMechE, an Associate Fellow of HEA and a member of UKRI Early Career Researcher Forum.

OVERVIEW

I joined University of East London as a Lecturer in Railway Engineering in October 2021. I teach various modules of Mechanical Engineering and Railway Engineering courses. 

Prior to that I worked as a Research Fellow in Railway Mechatronics Systems at the Birmingham Centre for Railway Research, at the University of Birmingham since September 2018. At UoB, I worked on various railway projects in collaboration with industrial partners such as Network Rail, RSSB. The projects include In2Track2, S-CODE funded by the Shift2Rail(JU) and   REPOINT funded by RSSB. In particular, I led the dynamical modelling and controller development research on developing novel track switch system which was deployed in railway network. Before that, I was a Research Associate in Loughborough University where I worked on railway research projects. Prior to moving to the UK, I spent one year as a postdoctoral fellow at the Inha University, South Korea where my responsibilities were to complete research on smart automotive projects.

I completed my PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, India. The research was to investigate the isolation characteristics of a semi-active nonlinear vibration isolation system with a Magneto-rheological damper with an application in automotive suspension system.

I am a chartered member of IMechE and an Associate Fellow of HEA. I am also a selected member of UKRI Early Career Research Forum.
