She later worked as a Specialist Midwife in Maternal Medicine for the North Central London Network and has spoken at multidisciplinary conferences on the importance of midwifery involvement in maternal medicine.
Rhiannon has also contributed to maternal and child health initiatives in Zambia, the Republic of Niger, Ghana and Guinea. Working with the non-governmental organisation Mercy Ships, she delivered neonatal resuscitation training through the Helping Babies Breathe programme in Conakry, Guinea. Most recently, she worked in Lusaka, Zambia with Seed Global Health as a midwife educator, supporting university students and newly qualified midwives to develop clinical skills, confidence and professional practice. Rhiannon is passionate about holistic midwifery care and global maternal health. She supports students to develop the confidence to advocate for themselves and for the women and birthing people in their care.
