Dr Rahime Belen Saglam is a Lecturer in Computer Science and Digital Technologies at the University of East London, where she brings over 10 years of experience in teaching and supervising computer science and engineering courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

OVERVIEW
Rahime's research and teaching focus on data privacy, cybersecurity, software development and the ethical implications of emerging technologies, with expertise spanning data privacy regulations, human factors in cybersecurity, AI ethics, and the development of responsible technologies.
Previously, Dr Saglam was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Institute of Cyber Security for Society at the University of Kent. Over her four years there, she contributed to major projects funded by the Home Office and EPSRC, focusing on GDPR compliance and assessing the legal risks of various technologies.
