OVERVIEW
Mehri holds two PhDs in environmental social science with over 17 years of combined academic and industry experience working across the UK, Europe, China, Iran, and India, bridging academic research, consultancy, and policy engagement. Her research integrates mixed methods to explore critical social dimensions of climate change adaptation.
Her work focuses on how individuals, communities, and governance systems respond to climate extremes, particularly urban heat and how inclusive risk communication can drive behavioural change and equitable adaptation. Her research on overheating risk in the UK has been featured in various national and international media outlets, including BBC London, BBC Radio, Arte TV, and The Guardian. In addition to her strong track record of high-impact academic publications, she excels at translating academic insights into actionable policy recommendations on climate adaptation, particularly around overheating risk.
