Presently I am an academic with 3 years’ experience and 27 years of practice in intensive care, looking forward to publishing and increasing knowledge around patients safety. I am looking forward to creating an accredited Intensive Care course soon at UEL.

OVERVIEW
As a lecturer, I commenced at Middlesex University before joining UEL. My background includes intensive care nursing.
RESEARCH
As an academic I strongly support the active pursuit of excellence and the culmination of scholarships for students capable of above and beyond, this will see me actively engaged in in-depth research creating a reservoir. I presently conduct research on my teaching strategies to improve my teaching styles which will improve student learning, supervise students with their research projects and conduct research and make presentations.

MODULES TAUGHT
Law and Ethics for Nurses (Mental Wealth)
This module introduces you to the professional values that act in the best interests of people whilst collaboratively working in health and social care delivery. This will enable you to explore person-centred care over the lifespan that promotes safe and compassionate practice, and develop appropriate communication, personal and partnership working skills required to meet the needs of clients/ carers/ service users. You will have the opportunity to explore their experiences and knowledge and apply this to evidence-based practice.
Nursing Practice
This module is designed to run across the academic year alongside NS5015 'Clinical decision making in providing and evaluating care' This module covers the placement requirement for the Level 5 Nursing curriculum which allows you to gain proficiency with the NMC’s seven platforms across all fields of nursing (Adult, Child, Mental Health and Learning Disabilities).
