Manizha Hadi is a medical doctor with a broad experience of working with social development, public health programmes, and management. She has also worked with national, international, UN, and US donor agencies. She is an Assisted Reproductive Technology specialist and she has recently been accepted to the UKPHR Practitioner scheme.
OVERVIEW
Dr Manizha Hadi is a medical doctor with extensive experience in social development and gender-focused health programmes. Born in a broad-minded family in Kabul, Afghanistan, she completed her medical education at Kabul Medical University. Driven by a passion for improving women's health, she pursued a master’s degree in public health and policy at Durham University, where her research on antenatal care guidelines earned her the Health and Well-being Prize for Best Master’s Degree Dissertation in the School of Medicine.
Dr Hadi holds a PhD in Health Studies from Durham University, focusing on enhancing sexual and reproductive health service uptake in Kabul, Afghanistan. Her research expertise extends to the sexual and reproductive health needs of asylum-seeking women in Stockton-On-Tees and Southwark, London, for which she received small grants to conduct impactful studies.
As a specialist in diversity, equity, and inclusion, she provides training and conducts research on gender, sexual and reproductive health issues, global health, and social health care. Dr Hadi is a selection board member of the Open Society Foundations, where she leverages her socio-cultural knowledge of South Asian countries to identify eligible candidates for scholarship awards, enabling them to gain education in developed countries.
Dr Hadi’s commitment to women's health and well-being drives her work and research, making her an asset in the field of public health. Currently, Dr Hadi works as a Subject Lead in Public Health.
