OVERVIEW
Julian Alexander is a filmmaker from Las Cruces, New Mexico. A graduate of New Mexico State University’s Creative Media Institute, Julian continued his studies at the Northern Film School in Leeds, UK where he received his MFA producing and directing numerous film projects, including the Royal Student Television Award-nominated short, Léo.
Julian has a passion for new media and alternative storytelling methods. Julian has written, directed, and starred in a phone-based web series titled Bad JuJu and his most recent production Layla, At Last, funded by the Sharjah Art Foundation shot in Spain and Morocco. When he is not leading a film set, Julian is leading a classroom. He is a lecturer in Film Production at the University of East London. Julian is a Doctoral Candidate producing films using rap as the main storytelling instrument.
