OVERVIEW
I am a Senior Lecturer and Subject Lead for Secondary Mathematics Education, responsible for the planning, delivery, and evaluation of the PGCE and School Direct Mathematics programmes.
I began my teaching career in 2000, training as a teacher and subsequently teaching in schools across North London. In my current school, I have been working as a Professional Coordinating Mentor and Induction Mentor since 2015, guiding and supporting new teachers as they begin their teaching careers.
My commitment to teacher training extends beyond my mentoring roles; since 2008, I have collaborated with various providers of teacher training, contributing to the development and delivery of high-quality training programmes.
In 2016, I joined the University of East London, where I have continued to expand my impact on mathematics education.
My role also involves working closely with partnership schools across London to ensure that our training programmes are aligned with the needs of the schools and the students they serve.
My journey in education has been driven by a passion for mathematics and a commitment to excellence in teacher training. I am dedicated to fostering a supportive and enriching environment for aspiring mathematics teachers, helping them to develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed in their careers.
