Between 2012 and 2016 she was a senior lecturer in English Education at the University of Roehampton before returning to the primary sector in the role of Deputy Headteacher at Christ Church Primary, in Lambeth, where she was ECT and student teacher mentor, and English Lead with responsibility for Teaching and Learning and assessment across the curriculum.
