Dr Emma Davies is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. She leads the Beyond Adversity Project: Research and development on trauma-informed practice in Higher Education.
OVERVIEW
Dr Emma Davies' research has focused on children's rights, adverse childhood experiences, sexual abuse, and domestic violence. Emma is interested in the relationship between research, policy, and practice, combining her experience in the academy with previous roles as a Principal Policy Analyst in the Ministry of Social Development (NZ) and Department of Health and Human Services (AU), and as Principal Advisor to the Children’s Commissioner (NZ). Emma is also a trained mediator and coach.
