Elizabeth has been an integral part of the School of Childhood and Social Care teaching team for a number of years, having taught on various undergraduate and postgraduate courses, before taking on the role of course leader for the PG Dip/MA in Counselling & Psychotherapy in 2020.

Alongside her role at UEL, Elizabeth is engaged in her PhD research, which focuses on the development of professional identity and inclusive practice within the counselling and psychotherapy community.  

Prior to working at UEL, Elizabeth worked for many years leading front-line counselling teams for several NHS trusts, specialising in short and mid-term therapeutic interventions of depression and anxiety.

Outside of UEL, Elizabeth is a practising Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist, Counselling Supervisor and Couples Therapist.  She has always, and still, maintains a thriving and successful private practice and is experienced in administering both short-term and long-term therapy, face-to-face and online.
