Andrew is a Senior Lecturer in public health. He is a transdisciplinary researcher who is interested in the ways cities and urban spaces impact health, non-health policy impacts on health and wellbeing, and research methodologies that capture the lived experience of chronic disease.

CURRENT RESEARCH
Andrew is currently working on two research projects:
- Exploring everyday geographies of chronic disease. This involves looking at the skills and practices that are developed as part of living with a chronic disease.
- An evaluation of the Healthy Lives Service at the London Borough of Tower Hamlets with colleagues from the Institute of Connected Communities at UEL.
Andrew’s previous research includes the Transdisciplinary project ‘Tacking Upstream Unhealthy Urban Development’ project. This work involved a systems perspective to explore how economic valuations of health can be used to incentivise and shape collective decision-making.
The Chrodis Plus project.
This work involved identifying the key elements in the transfer and implementation of best practices for health promotion.
