CURRENT RESEARCH
Dr Adan’s research is situated at the intersection of race, power, racialized emotional labour, and professional practice. Grounded in psycho-social and postcolonial frameworks, her work explores how marginalized voices are positioned, silenced, or amplified across institutional contexts. She draws on narrative and reflexive methodologies to examine themes such as gendered violence, the emotional life of organizations, and the psychodynamics dimensions of inequality. Her current research engages psychoanalytic theory to interrogate the formation of racialized subjectivities and to explore the ethical and political possibilities of decolonial knowledge production.
