Alex is the founding director of ScottWhitbyStudio, an award winning architecture and urban design practice based in the London. As senior lecturer in architecture at the University of East London, Alex has taught within the postgraduate courses and is now teaching on the school's flagship BA (Hons) RIBA Part 1 programme.

OVERVIEW

Alex Scott-Whitby teaches in a 2nd and 3rd year design studio in the undergraduate school, as well as organising external lectures and the annual UEL/British Land and Sir Robert McAlpine Broadgate competition. 

CURRENT RESEARCH

Alex is a founding director of StudioAR, an award winning architecture and creativity consultancy based in the City of London. The Studio works both within, on, and outside the boundaries of traditional architectural practice. Projects range from the hypothetical to the very real, lasting for a couple of hours to ones that will take 30 years to complete. Current projects include the re-invigoration of a country estate in Greece to a project to turn 38 forgotten church spires in the City of London into low rent studios, for emerging creative practitioners.
