New leadership and innovation courses at UEL

As industries continue to evolve in response to technological change, workplace transformation, and shifting leadership expectations, professionals are increasingly seeking opportunities to upskill in practical and future-focused areas.
This summer, the University of East London (UEL) is launching a new portfolio of professional development short courses designed to support managers, entrepreneurs, business leaders, and professionals looking to strengthen their skills in leadership, innovation, digital transformation, and workplace development.
Delivered through intensive in-person and online formats, the courses combine academic expertise with practical industry insight, offering participants the opportunity to explore real-world challenges, emerging trends, and applied professional skills.
The June–July 2026 portfolio includes courses focused on:
- Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) for Managers (16 June to 17 June)
- Using AI for Marketing (24 June)
- Entrepreneurial Thinking for Leaders (25 June to 26 June)
- Design Thinking for Leaders (1 July)
- Social Media Management for Entrepreneurs (8 July)
- Project Management Systems Thinking (13 July)
- ILM Level 3 in Effective Coaching (September 2026)
The programmes have been developed in response to growing demand for agile leadership capabilities, innovation-focused thinking, and practical digital skills across sectors.
From AI-driven marketing and entrepreneurial leadership to inclusive workplace culture and coaching practice, the courses aim to equip professionals with tools and techniques that can be applied directly within organisations and business environments.
Many of the programmes will be delivered at the University Square Stratford (USS) campus, creating opportunities for participants to engage in collaborative discussions, applied learning, and peer networking alongside academic experts and fellow professionals.
The short course portfolio also reflects wider conversations taking place across industries around workforce development, organisational adaptability, and lifelong learning.
Professionals attending the programmes will gain exposure to practical frameworks, emerging business trends, and leadership approaches that support innovation, problem-solving, and effective team development in rapidly changing environments.
