Verde Digital founder shares expertise with students

Last week we had the pleasure of welcoming Joe Hale to the University to give a guest lecture on implementing data analytics to sports marketing strategies. Joe is the founder of Verde Digital, a digital marketing and SEO agency for fashion and sports brands, and has 12 years of experience in the digital marketing industry.

The lecture was designed to showcase how data and analytics can be used in different fields, in this instance more precisely around marketing data visualisation. Joe shared what tools are used, how data is gathered, how it is reported, how it is used to inform marketing strategies and more, allowing students to understand how a career in data can take shape in many ways.

Joe also took students through a discussion on the power of personal branding in marketing. He provided a careers-led session focussing on LinkedIn personal branding, and how postgraduates should use LinkedIn to network with potential employers and improve their employment prospects.
