School hosts Athens students

The University of East London’s School of Psychology recently welcomed 60 enthusiastic 15-year-olds from Athens, for a two-day visit that proved to be a resounding success.
Students and teachers alike were visibly impressed, with many lining up to thank the academics who took part for hosting such an enjoyable and insightful experience. The visit successfully showcased the school's breadth of teaching and research expertise designed to capture the attention of the 15-year-old audience.
Highlights of the visit included hands-on activities and a student talk conducted in Greek providing a unique perspective and insight into the world of psychology. a brain workshop and a positive psychology session, leaving students with valuable insights and a positive outlook.
The students from Protypo Lykeio Agion Anargyron also got to try out the School’s VR technology, which showcased the innovative research undertaken by the academics.
Dr Mary Spiller said, “The success of this visit not only highlighted the excellence of the School of Psychology but also created a positive impact on the students' perception of psychology as a field of study.

The University has long had strong links with Greece and is the largest transnational education provider in the country. It offers around 60 courses in both English and Greek, across eight campuses, reaching around 4,000 students.
