UEL shortlisted for top awards

The University of East London’s (UEL) External Relations Directorate has secured an impressive nine nominations for the prestigious Heist Awards as well as being shortlisted in all five categories for the Higher Education Content Marketing Awards. These 14 nominations span a wide array of categories, from events, social media, digital and recruitment, showcasing the directorate's diverse expertise and impact across multiple facets of marketing.
In both competitions, the directorate has earned a nomination for the prestigious Marketing Team of the Year Award, highlighting the department's dedication, creativity, and commitment to excellence. Alongside this, UEL Marketing Campaign Assistant Rukshana Shaw-Porter has been shortlisted for the highly coveted Heist Rising Star Award and the Higher Education Content Marketing Awards' Content Marketer of the Year.

Hosted by Havas Education, the Heist Awards not only honour the best of the sector but also provide a platform for marketing teams in higher and further education to showcase their creativity and accomplishments.

- Best postgraduate student recruitment campaign
- Best event experience
- Best widening participation initiative
- Best use of data, insight, or marketing research
- Best low budget initiative (Under £15K)

- Marketing team of the year
UEL’s shortlisting in all the categories in the Higher Education Content Marketing Awards, further illustrates the team’s strengths in innovative content marketing. The nominations are:

- Content marketing team of the year
The winners of the Heist Awards will be announced at a gala awards evening on Thursday, July 11. While the winners of the Higher Education Content Marketing Awards will be announced on Wednesday, June 26.
