The University of East London (UEL) has been shortlisted in five categories in the 2024 Whatuni Student Choice Awards (WUSCA), including the most prestigious, the University of the Year award. The awards are based on the number of positive reviews by students on campuses. This year’s multiple nominations serve as a testament to UEL’s commitment to student satisfaction and success.
The WUSCAs are the largest annual university awards in the UK voted for exclusively by students. They not only shine a spotlight on the work universities do, but also give students the chance to say what their university has done to support them on their educational journey. Over 35,000 reviews by students are collected for the awards each year.
UEL has been shortlisted in the following categories:
- University of the Year
- Career Prospects
- Facilities
- Postgraduate
- Halls and Student Accommodation
Sophie Bowen, Chief Student Officer at UEL, shared her excitement at the news, saying,
I am delighted that so many of our students have taken the time to report their positive experiences of UEL and that we have been shortlisted for an amazing five awards! Thank you to all of the Team UEL community for all you do to support our students.”
UEL’s inclusion in these five categories underscores the University’s dedication to providing exceptional support services, world-class teaching quality, and top-tier facilities to its students.
The winners of the 2024 Whatuni Student Choice Awards will be announced on Wednesday, 24 April, with UEL eagerly awaiting the results, ready to celebrate alongside other institutions committed to student excellence.
