Running from 22 April until 3 July with 13 different shows over more than 25 performances, festivalgoers will experience performances by the next generation of creative change-makers across collaborative areas.
Dance, acting, applied theatre, music, media, performing arts, film, writing, journalism, animation, gaming, and fashion students will be performing during ELEVATE 2024.
Highlights include UEL Level 4 Film and Acting for Stage and Screen students collaborating on an anthology of films inspired by the Great Beyond menu, and a performance of Afterlife. The play, first performed at the National Theatre, London in 2021, sees a group of strangers grapple with an impossible question as they find themselves in a bureaucratic waiting room between life and death. Encouraged by enigmatic officials, they must sift through their past memories to choose their forever.
As part of UEL’s Innovation and Enterprise Summer Festival, the main stage will also host a takeover bringing the best of the Elevate festival by various performers.
