The University of East London marketing team has won a silver award in the CASE Circle of Excellence Awards 2022, for its #BeTheChange student recruitment campaign.
The CASE Awards acknowledge superior accomplishments that have lasting impact, demonstrate the highest level of professionalism, and deliver exceptional results.
David Smith, head of marketing at the University, said, "This is a great achievement when you consider the international scale of the awards and quality of the other entries. Huge congratulations to the team for this fantastic result."
The #BeTheChange recruitment campaign was all about asking students - and future staff and students - to face societal challenges head-on, from sustainable architecture and ethical AI to health inequality and breaking down barriers in creative industries.
The campaign the marketing team put together showcases the University of East London's inspiring work. The Where Next? platform generated excitement in the local community, making connections between the University and other organisations, from local bars to Whitechapel Gallery.
The CASE Awards judges said, "The #BeTheChange student recruitment campaign is bold in its message and design and the realisation that student recruitment is a community effort. It earned a silver because it focused on addressing students' concerns in a direct manner that resonated with them, and the campaign yielded significant results."
