Paige added, “The camp itself was fun. There was a range of ages and personalities so there were always moments where I was learning something, but moments where I was able to teach too.
“Learning a different style of play was exciting and being able to balance having to make quick decisions but stay patient was very challenging but definitely an important skill.”
The UEL scholars are now looking forward to the next step. Josh hopes to graduate this summer and Paige is returning for another year with further competitions in her sights, “I’m looking forward to the U23 selection, full well knowing England is going to smash it.”
