The University of East London and Birkbeck are pleased to have concluded the transfer of Birkbeck's remaining share in University Square Stratford (USS), a campus in Stratford's Cultural Quarter, to the University of East London (UEL).
Full occupation of USS will support the University of East London in its efforts to pioneer future graduate careers and sustainable innovation for a changing world - moving forward rapidly with key goals outlined in its Vision 2028 strategy, including targets around green enterprise, diversity and community engagement.
The additional space will enhance UEL's ability to create a careers-led education that exceeds the aspirations of our students and the expectations of employers, strengthening and diversifying the Industry 4.0 talent pipeline.
The UEL's Royal Docks School of Business and Law facility within USS will be further enhanced by a trading floor simulator, a mooting room, and a marketing analytics lab. The ability to grow the existing free legal advice clinic in central Stratford will mark out the flagship USS building as a beacon of impactful support, further cementing the bond between the University and the community it serves.
