The University of East London (UEL) is supporting rapper and singer Nicki Minaj's efforts to widen access to higher education, which is part of her European tour taking place this month in a number of cities across the continent.
We are supporting Ms Minaj because she is a strong believer in the power of education, and has provided university scholarships to her fans in the US.
UEL will screen a short video during Ms Minaj's European concerts. The video will features staff and students and showcases UEL's location and facilities.
As a celebrity with a large fan base, Ms Minaj set up her scholarship fund to promote higher education to her followers, and she has looked for an opportunity to promote universities as part of her performance tours. The fund, called 'Student of the Game', was launched in 2018 for people who do not usually have access to higher education.
