UEL event aims to connect employers and apprentices

The University of East London is looking to connect job seekers with employers at an event to mark National Apprenticeship Week.

Employers and potential apprentices are invited to attend the free networking evening, part of a week-long celebration taking place across the country starting on 3 February.

The Apprenticeship Showcase Event, on Thursday 6 February in Stratford, will highlight the University's range of apprenticeship courses, covering the public services, such as police and nursing, as well as the construction and technology sectors.

The University already works alongside a number of key employers and is looking to attract new partners into its apprenticeship network as well as make new connections within the community.

 

 

 

The University of East London is at the forefront of universities offering apprenticeship degrees, working with national and local employers to give individuals opportunities to 'earn and learn'. We are a careers-focussed university and apprenticeships perfectly encapsulate our aim to prepare our students for the ever-changing world of work,"

Dr Paul Marshall, UEL pro vice-chancellor (careers and enterprise), said.

At the end of the evening, Professor Charles Egbu, pro vice-chancellor (education and experience) will present certificates to learners who have completed teacher apprenticeships.
