ACTEast Presents: Till The Stars Come Down by Beth Steel
"Steel - one of British theatre's most sensitive and intelligent chroniclers of family life and its intersection with the socio-political - presents a vivid multigenerational portrait of people tied together, and to their home, by blood and history. The texture of her writing .. especially between women - unfailingly absorbs and compels." The Stage
"There are some nights at the theatre when the audience just knows something big has happened. There's a crackle in the air at the interval, total stillness during the performance, shared glances as you file out. That was the atmosphere I experienced when I went to see Till the Stars Come Down". Times Literary Supplement
This term, our final year Acting for Stage and Screen students have been digging deep into this text with its glorious characters and can't wait to share something special with Newham.
