UEL’s Year of Health: A commitment to change
We believe that health is a right, not a privilege.
In 2025, we’ve dedicated a Year of Health to innovate health education, advocate for equitable policies, invest in community-focused care and leverage technology to push the boundaries of healthcare innovation.
We’re committed to driving equitable access to healthcare, recognising that true equity doesn’t come from a one-size-fits-all approach. Diverse communities have diverse needs, and effective solutions must reflect that reality.
One of the biggest projects under this initiative is the Stratford Health Campus. This new centre will provide advanced medical facilities, train NHS professionals, and support groundbreaking health research. It will also lay the foundation for a new medical school expected by 2027.
Voluntary donations
We’re raising funds to put towards:
- Expanding Scholarships and Bursaries – giving talented students from all backgrounds access to the education they deserve.
- Development of our new Stratford Health Campus – as we continue our commitment to addressing health and economic inequalities through education, research and community partnerships.
Our UEL events remain open and free to all. However, if you are able and would like to, then you can make a voluntary donation to attend. Every contribution helps us create even more opportunities for our students and community.
