As part of National Apprenticeship Week, we will be hosting a series of events highlighting apprenticeships and emphasising the positive impact apprenticeships have had on individuals, communities, education, employers and industries.

  • About: This event is especially relevant to SME employers in the Newham area who may want to hire an apprentice or learn more about commercial CPD opportunities.

Digital and Green Skills Event

  • Time: 13:00-15:00
  • Location: Royal Docks Centre for Sustainability
  • About: All are welcome to join this event where we will be showcasing our successes with employer partners and apprentices for the academic year 2024–25.

Our Achievements

  • UEL received its first Apprenticeship Ofsted inspection in September 2023, and the outcome was graded as Good.
  • UEL’s QAR (Quality Apprenticeship Rate) was announced as 81.3% - the ESFA benchmark is 67%, and the national training provider average was 54% (as of March 2024).
  • In December 2023, UEL had been shortlisted as a national finalist for the FE Week & AELP AAC Apprenticeship Awards 2024, in association with City & Guilds.
