Partner Institution EngagementWorking with young people in Key Stage 3 and 4, the UEL Schools and Colleges outreach team have a series of workshops and opportunities to fit into your school’s career and progression strategy.
For our partner schools, the UEL outreach progression framework offers a sustained engagement programme over the course of years 7 -11. Our aim is to encourage young people from non-traditional backgrounds to go to university and/or make informed decisions about their future.
The progression framework workshops are organised into three distinct categories:
- Informative – such as introduction to Higher Education, student life and finance
- Developmental – revision skills, time management
- Exploratory – choosing GCSE options, subject specific tasters
We have a number of workshops to choose from and all have a focus on one or more of the key transferable skills – communication, problem-solving, teamwork, self-management and self-belief. These can be delivered both on and off campus.
If you would like to find out more about our secondary school outreach offer – contact us on email@example.com
Visit days and workshops
For institutions that are not formal partners with UEL, we would like to invite you on to campus for visit days and workshops.
Priority will be given to those schools with an above average number of students on free school meals, and/or a higher than average number of pupils with English as an additional language, and/or are below average on Progress 8.
The team are also able to send our enthusiastic, trained student ambassadors to your school to talk to your students.
To discuss any of these opportunities, please contact us on firstname.lastname@example.org.
