UELSU's Social Actions Awards: reward the best volunteering

You know how passionately UEL feels about volunteering. We're the home of community initiatives and set up ever new and interesting campaigns in collaboration with local organisations. UEL students are diverse, engaged, and they don't just sit still and watch the world take it out on them: they try to change it. So why don't give the trailblazers among us a little bit of recognition?

Nominations are now open for the first ever UELSU Social Action Awards! The awards are designed to recognize students who make inspirational contributions in volunteering, campaigning, fundraising, and research on social issues, so the spectrum is broad enough to include virtually any initiative which has been thought with the good of others in mind. Students can apply for the award themselves, or be nominated by a peer or member of staff from the university. Awards will be granted on the basis of the dedication students have shown to their activities, whether within or outside UEL, and the impacts they have achieved.

The deadline for nominations is Sunday 28 April. Awards will granted at the UELSU volunteer awards on Thursday 30 May, and we will keep you posted about that.
