UEL offers a distinctive programme in law, which is designed to maximise your personal and career development. The LLB programme not only provides you with a comprehensive and critical understanding of core legal principles and institutions, but also encourages you to analyse law within its broader social, economic, political, cultural and international settings.
You will follow a programme which includes core modules such as Contract Law, Criminal Law, Public Law: Rights and Remedies and Land Law and also there is a choice of a wide range of interesting options such as Commercial Law, Immigration Law, Medicine and Law and Public International Law, taught by our experienced staff who are renowned for their publication record.
The School of Law and Social Sciences is well known for its flexible approach to study, offering teaching in the day and in the evening, allowing you to plan your studies around other commitments and continue your professional career whilst you learn.
The LLB degree offers exemption from the academic stage of qualifying as a solicitor or barrister and graduates may go into these traditional areas. Under our agreement with the National Association of Licensed Paralegals, students can obtain the NALP Diploma as part of their degree studies. We have a dedicated employability manager and place considerable emphasis on developing employability skills and contacts with appropriate employers.
