UELconnect offers a full range of consultancy services on all aspects of distance learning and e-learning. We take a leading edge approach to the design and development of programmes, incorporating and developing best practice and integrating communication tools and multimedia resources.
We can provide full lifecycle support, from initial planning and instructional design through development to programme implementation and evaluation.
We provide a named contact who will work with you and co-ordinate all the services necessary to ensure that your needs are met to the highest pedagogical and technical standards and are delivered on time and on budget.

Our instructional designers apply sound pedagogical principles and work closely with clients to develop a custom solution that meets their needs, based on the learners' initial state of understanding, and the desired outcome. Courses may be designed for independent learning, blended learning or face to face delivery. They may rely on group work or work-based learning, depending on the nature of the content and outcomes, the target audience, and the client’s requirements.
We also advise you on how to incorporate the appropriate use of technology, in the form of a virtual learning environment, online classroom, conferencing or chat sessions, or video.
We deliver our projects on time and to the highest quality levels. Our development team consists of project managers, instructional designers, e-learning specialists and multimedia developers who can rapidly produce web resources, multimedia and interactive learning resources and reference material in print or online formats.
From the beginning, we consider issues of support, in particular:
We provide staff training on how to get the most out of technology, how to be an effective online tutor and how to support learners at a distance. We also provide a dedicated team of student advisors who handle learners' queries and can provide proactive pastoral support to help learners to stay on track in their studies.
We are constantly seeking ways to improve performance and are conducting reserach in the following areas: PDPs and eportfolios, e-learning strategy, distance and e-learning pedagogy and mobile learning. We also keep up to date with research, market developments and best practice.
We evaluate our courses in terms of client satisfaction, learner feedback and achievement of outcomes. Our experience and expertise in these areas means that we are well placed to evaluate existing learning provision and make realistic recommendations for improvement and / or a move to distance or e-learning delivery.
