Combining flexibility and choice, UEL’s part-time study options mean you can learn at a pace that suits you – and still enjoy first-class facilities and support.
Being a part-time student means you have all the benefits of the UEL learning community, while studying in a way that suits your circumstances. You may want to study while you work, acquire skills and knowledge as part of an active retirement or incorporate time for learning something new into ongoing family or carer commitments.
You’ll find we offer excellent facilities for students with children, and if you have child or adult dependants you may be eligible for extra financial support.
Most programmes are available on a day or evening study basis – or a combination of the two and you will be studying alongside full-time students. We recognise that your circumstances may change, so you can arrange with your tutor to take breaks from your studies – or switch to a full-time programme and achieve your qualification in a shorter time. Find out more about your options in Timings and structure.
Our virtual learning environment UEL Plus lets you take control of your learning – all you need is internet access. This student-focused virtual learning environment gives you access to lecture and background notes, assignments, online discussion forums and self-assessment tests.
You have a wide choice of subject areas to choose from across UEL’s schools:
Don’t forget that our two-subject Honours programme gives you the option to create a tailored programme – with over 5,000 potential degree combinations.
We offer an increasing number of part-time distance and e-learning programmes which do not require on-campus attendance. Studying by distance learning allows you the flexibility to study from a location of your choice such as your home, the work place or whilst you travel.
