How to Apply for a place
Application Forms
You can apply online by selecting the 'apply now' link from the programme of your choice from the A -Z listing of our undergraduate and postgraduate programme specifications, or from the programme specification itself.
Our user-friendly online system lets you choose from the available modes of study and start dates then registers your details to begin a personal application track for you. You will be able to save your input and return to it later to complete your application in your own time - and when you submit it, we will email you to let you know has been recieved.
Our online application system includes comprehensive guidance notes and allows your referees to upload their references for you directly. It will help us to process your application as quickly as possible if you make use of this option.
Please Note: The Online Application system is not currently enabled for Combined Honours/Two Subject and Foundation degree programmes please use our downloadable application forms if you wish to apply for any of these.

Distance Learning programmes
Distance learning students DO NOT apply through UCAS. For most programmes you can apply online by selecting the 'apply now' link from the programme of your choice from the A–Z listing of our undergraduate and postgraduate programme specifications, or from the programme specification itself. For those programmes without an online application forms please use the downloadable application form and send it directly to distance.learning@uel.ac.uk.
Postgraduate research degrees (MPhil/PhD and Professional Doctorates)
Applications for postgraduate research degrees (MPhil/PhD and Professional Doctorates) should be sent to the Postgraduate Admissions team, pgadmiss@uel.ac.uk.
Undergraduate & Postgraduate programmes
The forms are also provided as a Microsoft Word (Version 7) files and in Adobe PDF Format.

If you have Microsoft Word installed on your computer you can download the Word version of the form, and then fill the form in and send it as an email attachment to study@uel.ac.uk. Alternatively you may print off the form, fill it in by hand, and post or fax it to us at the address on the form.
If you have Adobe Acrobat Reader on your computer you can display the PDF version of the form. Print off the form, fill it in by hand, and post or fax it to us at the address on the form. If you do not have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your machine, you can install it here.
