Study at UEL

UEL is a vibrant and contemporary learning community that seeks to meet the needs of all students by offering a uniquely flexible approach.

So what is it you want to do?

Study at UEL

Here at UEL that is the first question we ask. That’s because we offer such a wide range of options, both in the subjects you can study and in the way you choose to learn.

You can select from over 130 degree programmes (undergraduate or postgraduate) - ranging from Accountancy, Architecture or Business, to Sports Coaching, Theatre Studies or Toxicology. Or you can opt for a two-subject degree - giving you over 5,000 individual degree options!

We also offer an exciting range of short courses, and work-based learning programmes, many leading to recognised qualifications. Both these convenient learning routes also allow you to progress on to other UEL programmes.

Flexible approach

Our student-centred approach is designed to enable you to succeed and we have pioneered flexible study options that enable you to balance learning with work and life commitments.

You can study full-time on campus, and most programmes are also offered on a part-time basis during the daytime, evening or at weekends. We even offer the option to switch between full-time and part-time study if your situation changes.

And if you want to get qualifications without physically attending our campuses, we offer an increasing variety of programmes and short courses by distance learning - giving you freedom to study from the location of your choice.

Everyone can study

We value knowledge and skills gained through hands-on experience and operate an assessment system called Accreditation of Experiential Learning (AEL). This gives credit for relevant formal and work-based training and experience and may also mean you can complete your degree in a shorter time.

Experience also counts for our highly rated postgraduate programmes and we consider applicants with career as well as academic achievements.

UEL positively welcome applications from students with disabilities and dyslexia and provide a full support service. Find out more. We also offer excellent facilities for students with children.
