Disability & Dyslexia

Modifications to Exams

If you have medical evidence in support of your disability, or if you have a report from an appropriately qualified person confirming that you are dyslexic, you may be entitled to modifications in exams (i.e. 25% extra time).

If you have a temporary disability or injury, you may also be entitled to exam modifications.

Student responsibilities

You need to follow these steps to make alternative arrangements:

Make an appointment with a Disability & Dyslexia Advisor to discuss applying for exam arrangements. To do this, call 020 8223 7611 (10am – 2pm Mon – Fri).
You must apply before the published deadline, although you need only apply once, unless you wish to make a change to the agreed arrangement. Read exam policy.

Upcoming deadlines for the 2011/12 Academic Year are:

Semester A - Monday 24 October 2011
Semester B - Monday 19th March 2012

It will not normally be possible to make arrangements for a forthcoming exam period if you don’t meet these deadlines.
