Recent changes in European Travel Health have introduced the EHIC (European Health Insurance Card), that came in replacement of the E111 form.
This is used for obtaining medical treatment that becomes necessary, at reduced cost or sometimes free, when temporarily visiting a European Union (EU) country, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway or Switzerland. Only treatment provided under the state scheme is covered. However, to obtain treatment you will need to take a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) with you.
You can apply for a EHIC online simply by clicking on www.ehic.org.uk It is simple, free and in a few days you will receive your card by post.
