Individuals may experience hyperactivity, impulsivity and inattention - or a combination of all three. Signs of hyperactivity tend to diminish in adults, but attention, concentration and organisation difficulties continue.

AD(H)D frequently co-occurs with other specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia and dyspraxia.
