Your first week at UEL is one of the most important, which is why we make it such a big event. It’s a chance for you to familiarise yourself with our surroundings, settle in and start to belong to our community.
We offer plenty of chances for you to socialise and meet your fellow students, with music and dance events, comedy nights, barbecues, parties and live performances around our campuses. And if you’re an International Student you can attend special receptions and take a coach tour of London to see all the famous (and infamous) tourist sites.
Your Students’ Union (UEL SU) has its own schedule of activities, including the all important Freshers’ Fair, where you can join clubs and societies, find out about sports activities and get acquainted with Underground and Aqua East bars – run and staffed by your fellow students.
Alongside all that, we run familiarisation tours of campuses and learning facilities (many led by second and third year students) and you find out more detailed information about your programme and start choosing which modules you want to study. To find out more, see learning with us.
