At UEL, we recognise that you may, for whatever reason, decide to switch from your original programme to a new area of study.
We aim to respond to such requests in a positive and flexible way wherever possible. After all, it is important that you are on the programme you want to follow. We also realise that the process of learning opens students’ eyes to fresh possibilities or areas of interest. Often, change can be a very positive step.
Given the modular and cross-disciplinary nature of many programmes, we are often able to offer a level of flexibility that accommodates a change of degree part-way through your studies.
However, we do have other factors to take into account – for instance, your ability to move into a new area of study, your background knowledge and our capacity to provide you with the teaching and support you need.
If you feel you wish to change programme, we encourage you to talk about this frankly with your Personal Tutor. They will advise you on the best course of action. If the change you wish to make is possible, then we will explore this with you and give you the support you need to make the best decision for you.
