Tomor Bahja

“UEL gave me the chance of my life which I think other universities would probably not have given me.”

Tomor Bahja, a journalist in his native Albania, arrived in the UK in 1998. He spoke hardly any English, but focused on one strong clear goal, he wanted to become a barrister.

Tomor joined our School of Law in 2002. In 2004 he joined Lincoln’s Inn and in 2005 he was awarded the Thomas More bursary. He completed his Bar Vocational Course (BVC) with good results in 2006. Tomor is now a barrister pupil at Staple Inn Chambers.

Every year many students come from outside the UK to study at UEL and excel. For more information from the International Office please click here.
