
New to London? You’re in for an adventure! London is an exciting and vibrant city and we can help you make the most of it. Both the Docklands and Stratford campuses are easy to get to from the central city and they provide great jumping off points for both days in the city and trips out to the countryside.
The cheapest way for you to use public transport in London is with a Travelcard: these allow you to travel on the tube, buses and overground trains. Travelcards can be purchased at discounted rates if you buy them for a longer period of time – monthly, annually, etc. If you ask at your nearest station the staff will be able to advise you on the best option for you.

The 18+ Student Oyster Photo card provides huge savings on travel around London.

If you are a part-time self-financing student, unfortunately you are not eligible to apply for this travel card. As the new tuition fee loan is not dependent on income and can be accessed by all UK/EU students regardless of their financial circumstances, new part-time students that ARE in receipt of a tuition fee loan are NOT eligible for the 18+ scheme.

For an easy, cheap and healthy way to get around the city why not go by bike? London has many dedicated cycle routes, including several around both campuses. Bikes are also available for hire from UEL and the first 30 minutes are free!
