10th October - Great Sportsmanship Programme Workshop
SportsDock, 3:30pm and repeated at 6:00pm
Can men win medals for merely writing words? Can a man throwing a javelin stop a war? Can enemies become friends, at least every 4 years? The answer is simply ‘yes’. They already have – many, many times. For more than a thousand years. It’s to do with Olympism; the real meaning of the Olympics.
This workshop, delivered by author and founder of the Great Sportsmanship Programme, PR Smith, will offer inspirational examples of the true meaning of Olymism and sportsmanship, and demonstrate how sportsmanship can actually help performance.
