Dr Elizabeth Egan (Career Counsellor, Lifestyle Advisor, and 100%ME Anti-Doping Advisor)
Elizabeth has a PhD from Liverpool John Moores University and is completing a Graduate Certificate in Career Counseling for Elite Athletes through Victoria University in Australia. She also holds a Level 3 Certificate in Talented Athletes Lifestyle Support (1st4Sport). In addition to her work coordinating all the high performance programmes at UEL, Elizabeth delivers educational workshops and individual mentoring to a range of high performance athletes. Elizabeth delivers group and 1-to-1 sessions in career planning, anti-doping, time management and performance planning. She has a particularly interest in the female athlete triad and altitude training, and is available to deliver support to athlete, coaches, parents and other support personnel.

Richard Twine Msc (Strength and Conditioning Coach)
Richard is a former athlete with competitive experience in Athletics, Kickboxing and Olympic Weightlifting. Richard studied at the University of Bath and St Mary’s University College gaining a Bsc in Coach Education and Msc in Applied Sport Science respectively. Richard became UKSCA accredited in 2007.
Having operated in numerous High Performance environments around the world, including the Australian Institute Sport, Richard has gained a thorough understanding of the benefits that different training modalities bring to the adaptation process and how this translates to technical execution and performance in the competitive arena. A qualified UK Athletics Sprints Coach, Richard has also worked both on the TASS programme and as a contractor for the English Institute of Sport assisting athletes up to Olympic level.
