But, Jagrata Roy (20) and Zahid Akhter (23) steadied the ship with a partnership of 41. Barking and Dagenham College started their run chase well. Charith Rajamanthri (24) Khpalwdk Zazai (26 not out) putting Barking and Dagenham College into a commanding position. UEL never let the run rate get out of control though and a good over each from Reeves (1-9) and Akhter (0-9) meant, despite appearing in control for most of their run chase, Barking and Dagenham College headed into the last over as slight underdogs. However, the final 2 batsmen did their job in the final over and hit the remaining 14 runs needed off Cotton’s bowling. Muhammad Salman Baig (14 not out) hitting the winning runs of the penultimate ball of the encounter.
