The 2nd team won 4-3 away to Queen Mary University (QMU) after coming back dramatically from 3-1 down to grab the winning goal at the death.
UEL started brightly and made it 1-0 after only 5 minutes, it looked like the team had put last weeks loss behind them and were ready to show their potential. However as in the last fixture defensive mistakes allowed Queen Mary back into the game and by half time UEL found themselves 2-1 down. 5 minutes into the second half QMU increased their lead to 3-1 and the game seemed to be over.
UEL continued to try and play football and with 25 minutes left to play found themselves back in the game after Liban Mohamed scored his and UEL's second to bring them back into the game and start to believe they could get something out of it.
A tactical change saw striker Jason Ngandu come on to add extra pace to the attack and it proved critical as Queen Mary University had no answer to his turn of pace and fresh energy. With 80 minutes on the clock Jason finished clinically to even up the scores.
Now with the score level and the momentum with UEL the home side looked beaten and had little fight left in them, and with only a couple of minutes left to play the East Londoners grabbed the winner their hard work and belief had merited.
Goal Scorers: Liban Mohamed (2), Jason Ngandu (2)
