Royal Docks Business School Take Football Honours
The Business School won the first ever Inter UEL Football Tournament for Schools and Services last Wednesday evening. The competition saw 12 teams compete with UEL Connect, CASS School of Education, Facilities, Corporate Marketing, CITE, IT, ESDS, Health and Bioscience, and IHHD all represented.
Some teams played mixed teams, and the ESDS Eradicators played a full womens team, holding their own against the mens teams. The semi finals saw RDBS beat Corporate Marketing and ESDS beat CITE. The final was eventually won by RDBS on a penalty shoot out, with ESDS missing the target on 2 occasions. A fantastic trophy was awarded to the RDBS captain, and will now be engraved and kept for a year until 2011. The next tournament is Netball on Wednesday 31st March at Play on Sports (Canary Wharf). Mixed teams are currently being sought (£40 per team). Other events will be held including Volleyball, Dodgeball and Summer Rounders.
