UEL 2nds conceded a late goal to lose 1-0 away from home to Greenwich 2nds. The goal came at the 85 minute and was due to another lapse of concentration in defence. UEL have been improving defensively since the start of the season and were frustratingly close to their first clean sheet when the home team broke the deadlock.
The game was a hard fought affair in which UEL found it hard work to play their usual passing game under high pressure from the opposition. Greenwich bombarded the UEL defence with long ball style attacking play and eventually it paid off and the home side clinched the points.
Next week the mens teams take a break from league fixtures to play in the first round of the BUCS knockout cup. A competition that saw the 1st team reach the final last year.
