UEL rowers John Collins, John Preston, Ed Whiteley and Alan Sinclair head to Peterborough this weekend with their sights firmly set on a berth in the EUSA University Rowing Championships being held in Moscow this August.
The Rowing Team, all UEL Sports Scholarship awardees, will be competing against some of the best rowing talent in the country. They will be going oar-to-oar with junior national champions and athletes that represent GB Rowing internationally at U21 and U23 levels.
This is the first race that the rowers will compete in as scholarship athletes, and the quality of competition at the BUCS PriceWaterhouseCoopers Regatta will ensure a stern test. Rowing Club Chairperson, and PhD student, Natalie Campbell believes that UEL's rowing scholars have what it takes to medal in Peterborough.
Natalie and several other Rowing Club members will be travelling to Peterborough to support UELSports Rowing at what promises to be action packed regatta weekend.
